the break-up

hmm. so, i apologize for the long lapses in posting, it's just that these days i rarely have anything interesting to say.

here's something interesting: today eric and i broke up, and it was perhaps the most amicable breakup in all of recorded history. i was like, i think we should break up, and he was like, hmm, i guess i think so too. and then we discussed how we would return our belongings to each other, agreed not to delete each other's cell phone numbers, and that was that. i guess the relationship was over in my head a long time ago, so all my grieving is in the past. anyway! live and learn.

ooh, one more interesting thing has happened to me. so, at knox, in the psychology wing, there is a row of maybe 10 photographs of people who won awards in psychology. well, apparently sometime last week, someone stole my photo off the wall! just mine! isn't that strange? strange, and sort of flattering. i guess someone wants to either build a shrine to me or smash me with a hammer. either way, i've obviously made an impression!

um, okay, that's all i've got.

um, long time, blah

you know, sometimes a little facebook popularity can brighten up what might otherwise be a pretty boring day. :)

wow, i haven't updated my blog in so long! so much has happened. hmmm. the awesomeness of life in the midwest has subsided a little. it's great to be close to my family, and the boyfriend is still adorable, but i had to quit my job at SEIU because they're shady as hell and treat their workers like shit. so, yeah, i've been jobless for about 4 weeks now, and i just can't seem to find anything i really want to do. so now i'm going to have to start doing work i don't want to do. i guess millions of people do work they don't really want to do every day, so i should just get over myself.

anyway! here are some pictures of katie! she's 7 months old now.

here she is with her favorite toy, an empty 2-liter bottle of diet mountain dew:

reading the paper with my/her uncle jeff:

i also spent a week in huntsville, AL, helping tedi with her new baby, avin, who is freaking awesome and tiny as hell. i'll have some pictures of him in the next few days.
